Margot tells us how she used her birthday party as a fundraising drive:

“My main idea for fundraising was my birthday party. I have enclosed the invitation I sent to my close friends.  As you can see on my page, I had a wonderful, very generous friend.  More donations will come now through my husbands connections and friends that are not so close.  I will have a go.”

Here’s the invitation that Margot sent to her birthday party:

Please Come To My Princess Party

Where:  41 Carlton Hill
When:   Sat 7th –March 2009
Time:    2:00 pm – 6:00 pm buffet lunch
RSVP :  margot@lieber.org.uk

P.S. No presents YOUR presence and dancing shoes.

I wanted to do something meaningful for my 40th birthday and I was lucky enough to be able to secure a Gold Bond place in the London Marathon supporting Children in Crisis, which is a charity focusing mainly on education for the world’s most vulnerable children.

Did you know that 72 million children around the world don’t have access to an Education! In many occasions due to been victims of war such as in countries like Afghanistan, Congo and Sierra Leone.  Without education these children have no HOPE.

Please support me with my effort to give a small drop of HOPE to these children by sponsoring Children in Crisis @ www.justgiving.com/margotlieber.

In peace and beauty,

Margot”
