John Barrett

We like this enterprising fundraising tip from John, who’s running for Myasthenia Gravis Association, which works to research and help treat this auto-immune disease.

“I raised quite a lot through entering many competitions to win tickets for various events (I was lucky winning some!) and by asking friends if they had spare tickets for events that they wished to donate (only events where it is acceptable to auction off, of course) and auctioned tickets to the highest bidder.”

And with your Justgiving page open for a full three months after the marathon, there’s still plenty of time to enter competitions and ask around for spare tickets!

Sarah Billson

Sarah ran last year’s London marathon, raising a fantastic £2,000 for HEART UK.

This year she’s back, with an equally challenging fundraising target, and doing very well towards it.

Check out the brilliantly detailed training updates on her Justgiving page and look out for her, and top supporter Pat, on Sunday…

Jane Bird and Amanda

Jane’s raising money for the Hepatitis C Trust, having just been treated successfully for the Chronic Hepatitis C.

It’s her sister Amanda who’ll be running the marathon on Sunday, to raise funds for the support group, HEPSCENE, that Jane has set up in Manchester. You can find out more details about the group on Jane’s Justgiving page.

Good luck this weekend Amanda!

Tom Mills

This is not only Tom’s first ever marathon, it’s his first ever major fundraising event, so we reckon he’s doing pretty well so far.

He’s raising money for The Children’s Trust, to help children with multiple disabilities to get the best support available.

We like the way he credits his main offline supporters in the personal message on his Justgiving page.
